The book of James challenges us with actions that follow genuine faith. It is theology followed by practicality. This sermon series will be supported by "STUDY" questions for individual study before the sermon and "GROUP DISCUSSION" questions for use in your small group. These study aids, audio recordings of the sermons and sermon texts are available online. Specially prepared notebooks for James are available for $5 each in the Welcome Center. If you are not in a small group that is studying James with us, we encourage you to use the "STUDY" questions for your personal time in the Word each week in preparation for the sermon.

The Shack by William Young has become a very popular book in our country. But it is a two-edged sword with some helpful insights and some very unbiblical theology. Dr. Nelson has a short review of the book available at the Sound Living Special Topics page.

John Boyer, Elder and Chairman of the Search committee, reported to the congregation on March 16 that the committee has received over 190 inquiries. The committee has been gathering more information on those who meet certain criteria. John indicated that there are several very qualified candidates whom they are pursuing with interviews. As the Committee moves toward determining the man God is preparing for Southern Gables, they value your prayers for these men, their discussions and for Pastor Nelson as he carries out the duties of Senior Pastor.
