Welcome to Spiritual Community! At Southern Gables Church, our highest calling and goal is to help you become a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. We believe that much of our spiritual formation takes place in the context of relationships --spiritual community. That means that worship attendance alone won't be enough to help us grow in our relationship with God--we need the value of close spiritual friendships. Our Sunday morning Adult Communities (ACs) exist to help you understand the Word of God in the context of life--helping influence and encourage you to love life to the fullest in Christ. There are many classes to choose from; all focus on the Word of God and relationship development through prayer and care for one another. We invite and encourage you to be a part of an AC. Feel free to visit a class, contact the leader, or contact me for more information. I would be delighted to help you find the class where you can grow in your knowledge and love for Christ. Dori Sear We have nine ACs that serve a variety of age groups with some being multi-generational. They meet Sunday mornings at either 9:00 or 10:30. Their distinctives are listed below. In addition, we have four ACs that serve young adults. Three meet on Sunday mornings and one on Sunday evening. Some ACs have small groups that meet during the week. A variety of social and special events are scheduled throughout the year (Event Calendar). You can download a PDF copy of the Adult Communities Brochure for more information. |
