Adult Communities for Young AdultsDust
More a community than a class, Dust is mostly mid-20 to 30-somethings, out of college, single, married with kids, married with no kids, short, tall, some with chosen careers, others still trying to figure it out. Dust is a place to come and get close to the Savior - "May you be covered in the dust of the Rabbi." We gather on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m., supplied with coffee, tea, and usually something scrumptious to eat, to pray, dig into the Word through discussion, and laugh together. Currently we are engaged in a conversational group inductive Bible study of Jonah. |
The Hub
Our desire at the Hub is to provide quality, caring teachers to teach the Word of God, ultimately to prepare us for a life lived with Christ. We want to claim our faith as our own, to stand on our own, united as a body of believers. This will strengthen us as we encounter the world, whether on our campuses or at work. We want to have servants’ attitudes in our dealings with one another and the world we come into contact with every day. We want to be aware of and meet others’ needs before we attend to our own. We want to hold one another accountable and show love to one another. We want to be a community that stands out because of our chosen focus on Christ, His teachings, and our conformity with Him. We know the college years can be lonely. Here you will find adults and peers who care about us and will hear us when we need to talk and continue to encourage us in our walk and relationship with Jesus Christ. The Hub is the college-aged class of Southern Gables. Whether or not you are in college or not, staying here for the fall or just around for the summer, please join us! Also, if you would like to know more about the people of the Hub please join our group on facebook. Click here. Sunday mornings 9 a.m. in the Outback, Room 103 |
III StrandsThis is a vibrant class for married couples in their 20s and 30s centered on applying Biblical truths in a relational teaching style that is very engaging, offering plenty of opportunity for discussion and interaction. They are serious about applying the truth of God’s Word and emphasize spiritual formation, relational connection, prayer, and service. |
The Reclamation
Reclamation: "To claim again for the purpose of restoration." We are reclaiming our lives, our generation, our world, our place in the story of God. We are a group for young adults ranging in age from 18 to 32. We are single, jobless, in school, married, deep-seated in a career, considering long-term missions, wishing we could figure ourselves out. We have at least one thing in common: we've heard about Jesus, we want to know more, and we want what we learn to change our lives. |
