During this series we will look at "Passion Week," the last week before Jesus' death and resurrection. Passion is the Latin and English translation of the Greek word for suffering. The Gospel writer, Mark begins the drama of the final days before the crucifixion, with an incident that had occurred several days earlier; the account of the "Extravagant Love" shown to Jesus by Mary when she anointed him with expensive oil. Mark ends it with his account of the awesome historical fact of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday morning. Available sermon resources are listed below.
